A Passion for Dentistry and My Patients
My profession has allowed me to use my talents and gifts to serve our community. I am honored to have improved the health and wellbeing of many people who have sought my care.
I have a passion to help and care for people. As a dentist, I am able to live out that passion by providing personalized care and services to people who desire a healthy and beautiful smile. In this day and age of depersonalized healthcare, I choose to see each patient as having unique needs and desires. Instead of dictating a treatment path, I work with each to explore their clinical requirements and personal goals. Then, together, we create a plan that works for them.
Spending every day with people from every walk of life has given me a deep appreciation and empathy for humankind: we are each a unique individual, who needs to be treated with dignity and compassion.
Education and Commitment to Continuing Education
I was awarded my Doctorate of Dental Surgery by the University of Southern California. Since graduation, I have actively pursued continuing education at every opportunity. Dentistry is an evolving field, with new techniques and technologies constantly being developed. It’s essential I remain current on these changes, so my patients receive the best care and treatment possible.
Each year I take multiple continuing education courses in order to stay-up-to-date. I participate in cosmetic and dental implant study groups and symposiums. I’m also involved with Dental Sleep Masters, as an Elite Member. This is an organization dedicated to sleep apnea treatment and solutions
I’m a San Diego native, who has called South Pasadena my home for almost 30 years. My wife, April, is an excellent cook, who volunteers at our church; she holds a degree in Psychology from UCLA. Lauren, my daughter, is a graduate of APU with a degree in Business Administration, and my son Robby is currently finishing his undergraduate courses in Business.
When I’m not in the office, I enjoy spending time with loved ones and especially enjoy traveling with family and friends. I play tennis on the weekends and like snowboarding, too. I also devote a lot of time, through our church network, to coaching and supporting individuals to achieve stability and security in their lives.
In the Community
I’ve been involved with Elizabeth House, a local program that provides temporary housing and assistance to unwed mothers, for the past seven years. I provide dental services and work with a team to mentor their alumni. I also volunteer with Imagine LA, which empowers families to transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency. Additionally, I’ve participated in several international mission trips, through my church, to deliver dental care to the underserved and impoverished in Kenya, Cambodia, Kazakhstan, Japan, and Brazil.
