After considering his natural gifts, skillsets, and overall temperament, Dr. Sue quickly realized that becoming a dentist was the perfect career that would allow him to live a purposeful and fulfilling life. He genuinely enjoys being able to serve and help others while also making positive, lifelong differences in their health. In fact, he regularly travels to 2nd or 3rd world countries like Kenya, Cambodia, Brazil, and Kazakhstan in order to volunteer his services to populations who are less fortunate.
Dr. Sue completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1975 through San Diego State University before pursuing his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of the University of Southern California. Upon graduation, he continued to pursue advanced training through prestigious programs like the Pankey Institute, the Kois Center, and SPEAR. He is also part of a restorative study group through the University of Southern California and an Elite Member of Dental Sleep Masters, as well as a Certified ClearCorrect provider. He considers himself a perpetual lifelong learner for both personal and professional growth; he enjoys being able to serve his patients more effectively and provide clinical excellence! He is currently a member of the following organizations:
Dr. Sue is a proud San Diego native and has lived in the South Pasadena areas for multiple decades. He and his wife April have two grown children, a son-in-law, and a grandson. In his free time, his hobbies include being with family, traveling, playing tennis, and snowboarding. He is also extremely passionate about working with local non-profit organizations such as Heavenly Treasures, Empowering Lives International, and Elizabeth House, providing much-needed dental care and serving those who are in dire need such as the poor, the oppressed, orphans, and widows. He has a real desire for making the world a better place for mankind – one person at a time!
